Amodiaquine HCL is an antimalarial drug from the 4-aminoquinoline class used to treat uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium Falciparum, including some chloroquine resistant strains. It works by preventing the malaria parasite from converting tpxic heme into a safe substance called hemozoin.
